ALS in the Heartland currently operates in a space that is not fully ADA accessible, creating barriers for many of the individuals and families we serve. Through this campaign, we are working to move into the upstairs of our current building and transform it into a fully accessible environment designed specifically for ALS care.
This project also provides the opportunity to purchase our building, creating a permanent home for ALS in the Heartland. Currently, more than $80,000 each year is spent on rent and related costs. By investing in this space, those funds can instead go directly toward equipment, programs, and services for individuals and families living with ALS.
This expansion will allow us to better serve those who rely on us every day by improving access to care, creating dedicated spaces for support and education, and ensuring individuals can receive the resources they need without barriers.
